It is the vision of this ministry to be the resource for which primary elements of any individual saved or unsaved, can be satisfied. We believe that in God there is sufficiency and without Him, we have nothing. Therefore, by faith, we are walking in the now of God to fulfill his desire for his people by providing opportunities that help facilitate the spiritual and natural needs of those we serve. In various outreaches we are ministering to the total person, touching and reaching them through personal growth and development, church, family, and community.
It is the Mission of the Well Church to win lost souls to the body of Christ, and up build and empower the people of God through the Word of God while preparing for His triumphant return.
The Well Church was birthed in our pastors, Charles and Pamela Johnson in 2003. After much fasting, praying and spiritual counseling, our pastors submitted under the covering of Bishop George Bloomer, Presiding Prelate of C.L.U.R.T. International Assembles. Once consecrated as pastor, the first church service was held on August 3, 2003 in a small room at the Wingate Hotel.
Continuing to walk by faith, we relocated to our second facility, which was a small storefront on Corporation Parkway in Raleigh, NC. Three years later, God swelled the Well to full capacity and on September 3, 2006 the first service at our new facility was held. Look at what the LORD has done!
Bishop Charles W. Johnson has had the call of God on his life since the tender age of 12. The son of an Apostolic Pastor, he has served in ministry all his life. He operates in a resident anointing and carries the mantel of a prophet. He is determined to preach purpose and destiny into the lives of Gods people, helping them to reach their maximum potential in God.
Bishop Johnson attended Winston-Salem State University from 1988-1991 with a major in Mass Communications. He became a licensed minister in October 1990 and within two years, was ordained Elder by the Board of Presbytery of the Greater Churches of Deliverance Inc., under the headship of Bishop Freddie B. Marshall, Winston-Salem NC. He served faithfully in many leadership roles such as Chief Adjutant to the Presiding Prelate, Sunday School Teacher, Christian Education Coordinator, and National Chairman of the Ministerial Alliance for the GCOD.
He later relocated to Raleigh NC and served at The River Church under the headship of Bishop Joby and Pastor Sheryl Brady. In 2001 he was hired as full-time Pastoral Care staff of The River Church and became the extended hands of his pastors. He conducted funerals, weddings, hospital visits, prison ministry, member and visitor outreach, and Youth Pastor. After a divine impartation from his leaders, he was led back into the vineyard to begin The Well Church in 2003. After serving faithfully as a spiritual son to Bishop Bloomer, he was surprisingly appointed Bishop-Elect in June 2006 at the National Holy Convocation of CLURT Assemblies in Douglas, Georgia. He was fully ordained to the sacred office of Bishop in June 2007 and presently serves on the board of Bishops for the organization.
He has been married for 15 years and has two sons who are both active in ministry. His wife serves as Pastor beside him at The Well, and together they are leading a thriving congregation. He serves the community as a faith-based representative on two local boards: Wake County Community Collaborative and Wake County Gang Prevention. He also serves as spiritual counselor for Visions of Hope Mental Health Agency. He has completed continuing education classes in Hebraic Studies at Beth Meyer Synagogue; Old & New Testament Survey at the Institute of Jewish-Christian Studies; currently pursuing classes in biblical Greek and New Testament Studies.
Bishop Johnson is a humble man of God and believes in seeking the kingdom of God first. He has a passion to preach and teach the true meaning of the Word of God that people will not suffer from the lack of knowledge. His heart is for all to understand that God is concerned about the whole man in every facet of life.
Pastor Pamela Johnson is a woman of God who is confident in the gifting and calling of God upon her life. She is known as a "raw preacher who keeps it real" and is not afraid of "getting down and dirty" while ministering deliverance to the oppressed. God has given her the kind of anointing where she can reach every individual right where they are without hesitation.
Affectionately known as Pastor Pam, she was raised in a musical, God fearing home and is a native of Goldsboro, NC. She is a graduate of Winston-Salem State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling at Liberty University. She is married to her God ordained mate, Bishop Charles Johnson and is the mother of two sons, Chris and Charles Micheal, who are both active in ministry. She serves beside her husband as full-time Pastor of The Well Church in Raleigh, NC.
Pastor Pam has been qualified for ministry over the past 18 years, serving in various capacities from faithful lay member to anointed headship. She was called into ministry and became a licensed preacher in 1994 and ordained Elder in 1997 under the excellent leadership of Bishop Freddie B. Marshall, Presiding Prelate of the Greater Churches of Deliverance, Inc, Winston-Salem NC. Her gifts later made room for her to serve great national leaders such as Bishop Joby & Pastor Sheryl Brady as Staff Accountant for the River Church, Raleigh, NC; Bishop George Bloomer as spiritual daughter and affiliate pastor under CLURT International Assemblies; she has recorded a single spoken word poem with Church Boy Music and currently working on the publication of her first book. She has been blessed to travel extensively ministering in both Word and song.
Pastor Pam believes if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. She believes confession requires honesty and transparency and it is the only way to get real answers for real problems from a very real God.
